I would like to the take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Helene Kelbaugh and I run the Helene Sells Homes Group at Keller Williams Realty Baltimore in Baltimore, MD.
What Does It Look Like?
Earlier this year I was awarded the Most Inviting Office Award. My office is my "Inviting Home" away from home. It is painted using a calm sage green color. My Inviting Home is decorated with sleek and modern furniture. An accent of flowers sit in the corner the office. Creating a cool and calm environment is essential to being a successful REALTOR.
Why A Cool Calm Environment?
Creating a cool calm environment puts you in a positive space and mindset. Coming from a clear space allows you provide clear and relevant information to your clients, buyers or sellers. Clients appreciate the atmosphere of an inviting office when making decisions.
Is My House Inviting?
What makes for an inviting home? A home with an inviting and mouth watering smell such as fresh baked cookies or apple pie. Put some cookies in the oven before showings and open houses. Or stop by Yankee Candle for a quick fix. Earth tones or light pastels including colors such as light green, mocha brown, and yellows are very soothing as well.
Calm or Kaos?
DECLUTTER! Keep it simple and thin out the home. Remove junk and toys. Keep the walls bare except a few photos. Painting can do amazing things for a home that needs a sprucing! Remember the buyer should be focusing on your house and not the stuff in your house!
